GT Bank, Greater Accra, Ghana
This project required the conversion and remodelling of an existing building for use as a fully functional GT bank branch. The ground floor houses a customer services section, internet banking, tellers, meeting rooms and the operations department. The first floor consists of the bank manager’s office, marketing department, staff dining and meeting rooms. There is also a detached building to house the back-up power generator.
The layout required a robust brief which outlined the bank’s specific working pattern. Security was a major issue involving installation of CCTV cameras, high end intruder alarm system, access controlled doors and the like. One of the greatest challenges was resolving the security along party walls to adjoining properties.
This project was executed as a design + build package using in-house tradesmen for the main builder’s work and running specialist works as a series of subcontracts under our control.
