Bank branch, Northern Ghana
The project is located on a brown field site within the central business district. It was previously occupied by dilapidated squatter / temporary structures.
The brief required the provision of an impressive building at reasonable costs to ensure that the bank gains its market share of business in this region, this being its first Northern Ghana branch. This was achieved by providing a 2 floor building with highly efficient space planning in order to limit the footprint of the entire building and invariably construction cost. The use of solar glazing curtain walling on the front facade, maintenance free locally available brick facing, coupled with the bank colors all contribute to make the building noticeable without being intrusive.
This project was executed as a design + build package using in-house designers, engineers, artisans and tradesmen. Specialist works were executed as series of subcontract packages under our control.
